    Trustly

    This guide outlines the basics of using Trustly via Checkout and gives you instructions needed for a fluent implementation.

    Before you start

    Before you can enable Trustly in your Checkout portal, an additional agreement is required. Please contact our Customer Service Team to get that process started.

    Checkout has an integration to Trustly which enables your consumers to pay via their Trustly account.

    The supported business model for SEPA Direct Debit is only B2C. The B2B business model is not offered.

    Activation

    To activate Trustly as a payment method and to add it to your Checkout portal, you need to complete the onboarding journey.

    If you already have an existing Checkout portal account, you need to contact Support for this.

    User Journey

    This following section will describe the user journey for a consumer:

    1. Consumers chooses “Trustly” on the payment selection page.
    2. Consumers are asked to choose the bank.
    3. Consumers have the option to save payment details for future purchases.
    4. Consumers gets redirected to the bank page (login to their account).
    5. After successful login, the consumer is redirected back to Trustly to confirm their payment.
    6. They will see their payment details, before authorizing the payment using SCA.
    7. Now the payment is complete and the customer is directed bank to your shop.

    Testing

    Checkout provides the possibility to test for Trustly. You can test Trustly payments in the Nexi Group testing environment.
